Teto Preto is an Afro-Brazilian musical group formed in 2014. The group has two core members, Rodrigo Campos and Juliana Strassacapa, and often collaborate with other artists. Their music incorporates elements of rap, funk, afrobeat, samba, reggae and dancehall. They use a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments, creating an experimental sound heavily rooted in Brazilian culture. Teto Preto has toured Brazil and abroad, playing festivals like Lollapalooza and Rock In Rio. The group recently released their third studio album, “Fundo Preto," which featured the popular single "Osso e Meleca." Teto Preto is becoming increasingly recognized for their unique mixes of Brazilian genres and their conscious awareness of social and political issues.
