Marie Davidson is a French Canadian artist from Montreal, Quebec. She is an independent electronic musician and producer, as well as a vocalist. Her work has drawn from a variety of genres, including techno, electro, and minimal wave, and she is known for providing socially conscious lyrical content with an intellectual, punk sensibility. She has released music on a slew of small independent labels, in addition to releasing three full-length albums on renowned Canadian label, Ninja Tune. Davidson has also collaborated with other notable artists, such as experimental producer SOPHIE, Men I Trust, and Asa Tone. She has performed at electronic, alternative, and experimental shows around the world, including at Mexico City’s Mutek and Paris’s Pitchfork Music Festival.
