Mayu is a Japanese pop artist who debuted in 2017. She was born in Osaka and grew up listening to a variety of music including rock, rap, and EDM. She released her first single "Yume Chizu" in 2017, and has since collaborated with several prominent EDM artists. Her debut mini-album, "Suzume / Original," was released in 2018 and went to number one on the Oricon Weekly Album chart. In 2019, she released her second mini-album, "Indigo," reaching number two on the Oricon Weekly Album chart. She has gone on to collaborate with many major artists including Mariya Takeuchi, Yuttari, and AI. Mayu now tours across Japan in support of her releases.
