About Dave Matthews Band
South African Dave Matthews, created a sound ensemble that combines jazz, grassroots, country, and folk and goes by the name of Dave Matthews Band. Founded in 1991, the band contained elements of the legendary The Grateful Dead, in the way they fused music genres into a sound that was a pleasing music audition. Putting special attention on playing college campuses, Dave Matthews and his band became a recognizable figure across many concerts in the early '90s, with albums coming in quick succession since. Their 1996 "Crash" reached platinum status in no time, and their most esteemed album single "Crash Into Me" was nominated at the Grammys the same year.
In the new millennium, the band took a liking to the mainstream with their 2000 and 2005 albums reaching the Billboard chart. DMB was one of the only band with consecutive albums peak the charts.
