About Johnny Marr
Johnny Marr is an English multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who rose to fame as the lead guitarist and co-songwriter for the legendary 80s band The Smiths. Marr's distinctive guitar sound helped to establish The Smiths as a pioneering alternative rock band in the UK. After The Smiths’ breakup in 1987, Marr embarked on a successful solo career, releasing several albums as a solo artist and collaborating with various artists including The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse, Beck, and The Cribs. Marr has been recognised by MusicRadar as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time, and was a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2018 Marr released Call The Comet, his third solo album, and embarked on a world tour in support of the album.
