The Weepies are an indie-folk duo composed of singer-songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. They became a duo in 2000 when they began writing music together, and launched their first album in 2003. Their unique sound has led to many notable recordings with national TV shows, major films, and advertising campaigns. Throughout their career, the duo have released 6 full length albums, all of which have been praised by music critics for their creative folk-pop style. In addition to their albums, The Weepies have released a handful of popular EPs. In 2015, they released their most successful album, Sirens, which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Folk chart.
