Danny Gokey is an American singer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He originally rose to fame in 2008 as a contestant on the eighth season of American Idol and made it all the way to the finals, ultimately placing third.

After his American Idol success, Danny signed a recording contract with 19 Recordings and RCA Nashville, releasing his first album 'My Best Days' in 2010. It featured his hit single 'My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me' which peaked at No. 12 on US Country Hot 100.

His second album 'Hope in Front of Me' was released in 2014, peaking at No. 2 on the US Christian Albums and included the songs 'Hope in Front of Me' and 'More Than You Think I Am', which topped the US Christian Songs chart for four weeks.

Danny released his third and most recent album 'Rise' in 2018, which featured the songs 'Haven't Seen it Yet' and 'Masterpiece', both
