Rebirth Brass Band is an American musical group from New Orleans, Louisiana that plays jazz, funk, and hip-hop music. Formed in 1983, the band comprises, members of two New Orleans brass band families: the Nevilles and the Barbarins. The band has become famous for its signature combination of funk and jazz, as well as its high-energy performances at clubs and festivals around the world. Over the years, Rebirth Brass Band has released over 10 studio albums and several live releases, and collaborated with popular artists such as Elvis Costello and Bill Laswell. The group won the Grammy Award for Best Regional Roots Music Album in 2012, and has become synonymous with New Orleans-style party brass band music. Rebirth Brass Band has been spreading the message of New Orleans party brass throughout the US and the world for nearly 40 years.
