Judah & the Lion is an American folk-rock band from Nashville, TN. The band reps a mix of Roots, Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, and contemporary Country. The 4-piece band was formed in 2011 and consists of Judah Akers (lead vocals/guitar), Brian Macdonald (mandolin/vocals), Nate Zuercher (banjo/vocals), and Spencer Cross (drums). They have released three studio albums since their formation. Their 2017 album, Folk Hop n’ Roll, peaked at No. 8 on the U.S. Billboard Charts and No. 1 on the U.S. Folk Charts. The band has also made appearances on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Live, and has toured with Twenty One Pilots and Kesha. Judah & the Lion is considered a must-see artist for its unique genre-blurring, high-energy performances.
