Alam is a Kenyan-born British artist based in London. He is a multi-instrumentalist who has released 5 EP’s and 2 albums so far. His style is mostly a mix of folk and funk, where he blends the traditional Kenyan sound with instruments like the guitar, bass and drums, creating unique sounds. His lyrics are mostly uplifting, focusing on the pursuit of t happiness and the power of and love. His two albums, ‘Welcome Home’ and ‘Travels’ have been well received and got him international attention as well as some Grammy nominations. Alam’s music has been used in a variety of film, tv and advertisement projects, and he also provides music for campaigns by UN refugee council and other organisations.
