About Anti-Nowhere League
Formed in 1980, Anti-Nowhere League was an English punk band from Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. They are best known for their 1982 track "I Hate People." The band combined a punk sound with elements of country and metal which gained them popularity with metalheads. Though the group received critical success, their record label had difficulty marketing them. Their biggest hit was 1992’s "We Are the League," and the group disbanded in 1984. In 1995, the members reformed and have since released five studio albums up to 2012. In 2013, Anti-Nowhere League were awarded the Golden God Award for their contribution to metal.
