About B12
B12 is an electronic music act which was formed in 1988, composed of Mike Honey, Steve Rutter and Ian Thompson. Their music has been primarily influenced by early acid house and techno, as well as robotic soundscapes. They are considered pioneers of IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) and were one of the early acts in the Warp Records catalogue. They released their debut album Electro-Soma in 1993, followed by Time Tourist in 1996, and continued to collaborate and create over the following years. B12 then reunite in 2010 to perform at the Kutieg Festivals in Belgium and have recently released their fifth album, Elektric Music Theory. B12's music has been featured on many soundtracks, video games, and compilations, further signifying their influence over electronic music.
