Bloodstone is an American funk-rock and soul band, formed in 1972 in Topeka, Kansas, and currently based in Los Angeles. The original members included the Stephens Brothers—Charles, Willie, and Harold—with their sister, Jean. The group found success in the 1970s with such hits as "Natural High," "Outside Woman," and their biggest hit, "Never Let You Go." Bloodstone also released two albums, Natural High and Bloodstone, both which achieved gold status and were later released in Japan. They had eight other albums released up to 1986 which attained moderate success. The group toured extensively during this period, at one point opening for Little Richard, which proved to be quite a successful venture for them. Although the group disbanded in the late 1980s, they still maintain their fan base and their music resonates with many music fans today.
