Brian Blade tickets

Brian Blade is an American jazz drummer, composer, session musician, and leader of the Brian Blade Fellowship. He is widely known for his stylistic diversity, versatility, and for consistently pushing the boundaries of jazz music.

Blade started his music career as a session drummer for various artists such as John Mayall and Bob Dylan. He also acted as the drummer in The Wayne Shorter Quartet, a prime example of his versatility.

In 1998, he released his first album with the Brian Blade Fellowship. The album, named simply “Brian Blade Fellowship” was praised for its creative and experimental approach to jazz and rhythm. He has since released albums with the Fellowship, and many others as solo work.

Blade has earned various accolades and recognition for his work as a drummer and composer, including a Grammy win with the Wayne Shorter Quartet in 2008. He continues to be a valued session player and influential jazz figure.
