Busty and the Bass is an eight-piece Canadian music group, based in Montreal. The group was formed at McGill University in 2011, and consists of nine members playing instruments such as bass, guitar, percussion, horns, keys, drums, and synth. Initially performing mainly jazz and funk standards, the group has since expanded their genre and now mix elements of pop, hip-hop, R&B, folk, and electronic into their music. They released their first EP, GLAM, in 2014, and their latest album, Eddie, in 2019. The album featured collaborations with artists such as Anderson Paak, Aluna George, and Rapsody. Busty and the Bass have played sold-out club shows and festivals across the world, and their track "Up Top" from Eddie was used by Apple in the launch of their AirPods Pro.
