About Ceu
Ceu, also sometimes written as CéU, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Originally from Sao Paulo, she has released five studio albums and has collaborated with a diverse range of artists from Brazil and around the world since her debut in 2005.
Her music blends a wide variety of genres including traditional Brazilian music such as samba and bossa nova with jazz, dub, and funk, giving her songs a distinct ethnic flavor. She has also been influenced by her African heritage, incorporating styles such as afrobeat and reggae into her sound.
Ceu has played at numerous festivals throughout the world, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Glastonbury Festival, and WOMAD, and has toured North America and Europe with her band. She has also won several awards, including the Songlines Newcomer Award in 2006 and multiple Latin Grammys.
