About Circa Survive
Circa Survive is an American rock band from the Philadelphia area. Formed in 2004 by Anthony Green, the band consists of members Brendan Ekstrom, Colin Frangicetto, Will Yip, Nick Beard and Steve Clifford. Circa Survive's sound is a mix of post-hardcore and progressive rock, with a heavy use of vocal harmonies.
The band has released five studio albums which have all been met with critical acclaim, with the band's most popular and commercially successful album being Juturna (2005). Following the release of Juturna, the band released On Letting Go (2007) and Blue Sky Noise (2010). The band's fourth and fifth albums Descensus (2014) and The Amulet (2017) expanded on the post-hardcore sound and featured more complex songwriting.
The band has achieved moderate success, performing in various music festivals, including Warped Tour, and is known for their energetic live performances.
