Cody Canada & The Departed is an American Rock and Country group that originated in Oklahoma in 1993. The band is composed of the lead guitarist and vocalist Cody Canada, bassist Jeremy Plato, guitarists Chris Doege and Seth James, and drummer Steve Littleton. Cody Canada & The Departed have had a long and prolific career, releasing eight full-length studio albums and one live album, as well as multiple singles. Their first EP, Gratch, dropped in 1996 to critical and commercial success. They’ve also been honored multiple times for their work, such as being named Best Country Band by the Oklahoma Gazette, and Cody Canada winning Rock vocalist of the year by the Dallas Observer. Cody Canada & The Departed’s most recent album, ‘3’, released in 2020, continues to demonstrate their alt-country/roots-rock sound.
