Cut Chemist, real name Lucas MacFadden, is a hip hop artist and producer from LA. He first rose to fame as a member of the rap group Jurassic 5. With J5 he created two studio albums, Quality Control and Power In Numbers, as well as numerous singles and EP's.

Following the break up of Jurassic 5 in 2007 he began working on his solo career. His debut album 'The Audience's Listening' was released to critical acclaim and chart success in 2006. He has since then gone on to produce tracks for artists such as DJ Shadow, Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest and Ozomatli.

Cut Chemist is well known for his turntablism and live performances. His 5 turntable show 'The Hard Sell' was a big success when it was performed in 2017. He still continues to make music and release singles and albums.
