Dan Wender is an experimental pop artist based in San Francisco, California. He blends elements of indie, electronica, psych-pop and R&B into a unique blend of styles, focusing on self-reflection, healing and liberation in his thoughtful and introspectively lyrical music. His 2019 debut album, 'It Doesn't Have to Be', dives deep into themes of self-discovery and reconfiguration of the self, tackling topics like mental health, gender norms, and modern identity. His sound has been likened to James Blake, Toro Y Moi and Alt J. Wender is releasing his second album, "Electric Heart," in Spring 2021 with a series of live performances to follow. He has also performed at festivals like SXSW, Osheaga and Pickathon.
