About Death Bells
Death Bells is an Australian post-punk band that was founded in Sydney in 2015 by vocalist/guitarist Ronnie Sunshine and drummer Will Canning. The two were soon joined by bassist Gussy Stark and guitarist Michael Barbaro, and they released their debut album Standing at the Edge of the World in November 2018. The record straddles the line between dreamy post-punk, shoegaze, and darkwave, and the band has been described as "a white-knuckle ride of succulent gothic grooves". Death Bells have toured Australia and Europe extensively, including a successful tour that culminated in a set at London's prestigious All Tomorrow's Parties in 2019. The band released their second album New Signs of Life in 2020, and they maintain a loyal worldwide following.
