Delta Funktionen, also known as Marcel Dettmann, is a Berlin-based German electronic music artist. Having first started making music in 1997, Delta Funktionen has been a major driving force in the techno music scene ever since. His signature sound combines elements of Detroit techno, electro and minimal together, creating music that is both dark and hypnotic. In 2002, he released his debut album Thoughts & Patterns. Since then, he has released a number of EPs, remixes and edits, as well as producing tracks for other artists. Dettmann’s label, Delsin Records, has had a significant impact in establishing the sound of modern Berlin club music, shaping and defining the city's techno sound for over a decade.
