About Destroy Lonely
Destroy Lonely is an American indie pop duo from Carlsbad, California. They are known for their dreamy, yet heartfelt, pop-rock sounds. The duo consists of Jacki Peñate and Tommy Matthews, both of whom are multi-instrumentalists; Together they blend a mix of styles, from modern pop to classic rock.
Destroy Lonely released their debut album, Ocean, in 2018. The album featured popular singles such as “We Fly Away” and “Everybody Loves Somebody”. They have since gone on to tour in the UK and North America.
In 2020, Destroy Lonely released their follow-up album, New Green Light. The album features deeper and more personal songs as the duo focus on topics like heartbreak and hope. The album was critically acclaimed by music blogs and publications, and the lead single, "Heartache In A Bottle", has garnered much praise.
