Dwarves are an American punk rock band formed in Chicago in 1986. Originally known as "The Suburban Nightmare", they have made a name for themselves over the decades as one of the most outrageous and confrontational bands in punk. With a revolving lineup and a sound that has changed over time, Dwarves have always pushed the boundaries of punk and maintained a sound that is both aggressive and melodic. Drawing upon elements of garage rock, psychobilly, and hard-hitting punk, they have released 15 studio albums and performed hundreds of shows. In addition to their music, Dwarves have made a name for themselves in the world of comics, video games, literature, and film. The band has also had numerous film and television appearances, among them Jackass Number Two and the MTV series Rock The Cradle.
