Eddie Palmieri is an exceptional musician and composer from Bronx, New York. He is considered to be one of the greatest bandleaders and Latin jazz pianists in the world and has been a pioneer in Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz music. He is credited as being the founder of Salsa music and has won nine Grammy Awards during his musical career. Over his decades long career, he has released over 30 albums and his music has been sampled on artists like legendary Jay-Z. He has also composed scores for films such as Piñero, Gang Related and The Cookout. He has been inducted into the International Latin Music Hall of Fame and the Bronx Music Hall of Fame.
