Fishbone is an American alternative, funk-metal band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1979, their main style of music has been funk, punk-rock, and ska. Through the years they have evolved and changed from their early punk roots to a more eclectic sound. Their songs have tackled social and political issues and have often been seen as humorous and upbeat. Fishbone has released 9 studio albums and sold over 1 million records. Their tracks have been used in movies such as Blades of Glory and have also been sampled by famous artists such as the Black Eyed Peas. Fishbone continues to produce new music and tour. In 2013, they released a documentary on their career titled “Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone”.
