For Those I Love, aka DTfTL, is a punk-folk project founded by Belfast-based songwriter Paul Connolly. The project is named after his deceased friend and Irish patriot, David McWilliams. DTfTLfuses elements of folk, punk, Celtic, and intense emotive lyricism to create a unique blend of musical storytelling. Since the release of their debut album "I Have Nothing" in 2020, they have developed a cult following and their music has been featured on various film and TV including the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney's Normal People. 2020 also saw a single in aid of NI Directs Emotional Wellbeing campaign and more recently a timely cover of Radiohead's "Creep" that called for a united front against Covid-19. With such a powerful sonic energy, For Those I Love are primed to become one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Irish music.
