Gym Class Heroes are an American rap and rock band from Geneva, New York. The band has been active since 1997, and consists of vocalist Travis "Schleprok" McCoy, drummer Matt McGinley, and guitar player Eric Roberts. Their first studio album, The Papercut Chronicles, was released in 2005 and brought them mainstream success. The record reached number five on the Billboard 200 and included the hit single "Cupid's Chokehold". This single reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 and made Gym Class Heroes a household name. Other singles from the album included "Clothes Off!!", "Taxi Driver" and "New Friend Request". In 2008 the band released their second album As Cruel as School Children which included the hit single "Cookie Jar", featuring The-Dream.
