Jackopierce is an American folk/alternative rock duo that started in 1988 with the founding members Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce. The two met while studying at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and released their debut studio album, A Collection in 1992 which was released on A&M Records. Since then, the band has released seven full-length albums, two live albums, an EP, and a compilation album. They have also toured extensively, performing hundreds of shows both in the US and abroad. The band found mainstream success in 1998 when their single “Three of Us in a Boat” was featured in the movie “There’s Something About Mary.” In 2017 the duo put together a retrospective boxed set of all their material to date. The assortment showcased their growth from folk rock to a more alternative rock sound. Jackopierce continues to tour and recently announced their 32nd U.S. tour in celebration of their 30th anniversary.
