About Jawbreaker
Jawbreaker is an alternative punk rock group from San Francisco. Formed in the late 80s, the band consists of guitarists/vocalists Adam Pfahler and Blake Schwarzenbach, as well as bassist Chris Bauermeister. Their sound is often described as combining the melodic energy of pop-punk with the more aggressive intensity of hardcore punk. A notable influence on Jawbreaker was the late 1970s punk rock scene in the Bay Area, and the band was part of a younger generation of American punk rockers, emerging in the late-1980s and early-1990s. Jawbreaker's first two studio albums, Unfun (1990) and Bivouac (1992), are widely considered to be the quintessential albums of the emo genre.
