Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, best known simply as Jidenna, is a singer-songwriter and rapper from Nigeria. He achieved mainstream success with the release of his single "Classic Man" which was released on June 2015 and certified gold. Jidenna then signed with Maybach Music Group and released his debut EP, The Eephus in August 2015. His single "Bambi" was released in 2016 and peaked at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album, The Chief was released in 2017, as well as being executive producer for the Netflix original series, "The Fundamentals of Caring". He has collaborated with many artists, including Janelle Monae and Flume. Jidenna is also an activist and advocate for social justice and African and African-American causes, advocating for voting rights, gun control, and COVID-19 relief. He continues to create music and tour, telling stories of his experiences and promoting awareness.
