John Carroll Kirby is an American musician and producer from Los Angeles, California. He is a multi-instrumentalist, playing the piano, synthesizer, and drum machines. He is known for his work with Tame Impala, Earl Sweatshirt, Solange, The Internet, Thundercat, and Flying Lotus. He released his debut solo album, My Garden, in 2019. His music has been described as “dramatic, piano-driven soundscapes, laced with elements of jazz, krautrock, and West African percussion.” His work has been recognized by his Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album for Solange’s A Seat at the Table in 2017. In 2020, he released His EP, Confluence, collaborating with Thundercat and Flying Lotus.
