About Kruder & Dorfmeister
Kruder & Dorfmeister are an Austrian trip-hop duo consisting of Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister. They became well known in the mid-1990s as part of the Viennese downtempo, trip-hop and big beat scene.
Their 1998 album The K&D Sessions combined elements of hip hop, drum and bass, dub, and jazz. It was well reviewed and very popular with DJ's and fans of electronic music.
In 2002 they released their only studio album, Conversions, which also earned numerous favorable reviews, and was followed by a string of successful mix albums.
Kruder & Dorfmeister are in high demand by many mainstream bands and DJ's, and continue to tour worldwide to this day. Their music is a unique brand of hip-hop, and their work is often cited as highly influential in the trip-hop and downtempo genres.
