Lightning Bug tickets

Lightning Bug is a lo-fi bedroom pop project by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Robert Smith of North Carolina. Having allowed the project to stay on the sidelines for much of the majority of its career, Smith has finally begun to shift his focus to the music project, resulting in three full-length albums, one of which is an instrumental self-titled EP. In 2014, Lightning Bug released the critically acclaimed LP, Aurora Borealis, on the Polish Penguin label, followed in 2018 by the album, Animal Collectives, released on the French cloudberry records label. Smith has cited genres such as chillwave, dream pop, indie rock, electronic and folk, as influences, adding elements of ambient, post-rock and musique concrète, creating a blend of sounds. His music has been featured in films, tv shows, video games, and various other pieces of artwork.
