About M.I.A.
M.I.A. is a Sri Lankan-born English rapper, singer and songwriter who is best known for her politically charged lyrics. She has released five studio albums since her debut in 2004 and has collaborated with a number of high-profile musicians, including Jay-Z, Madonna and Santigold. Her debut album, Arular, was critically acclaimed, and earned her a nomination for the Mercury Prize.
