About Mike Huckaby
Mike Huckaby is an electronic music producer, DJ and educator based out of Detroit, Michigan. He is known for reviving the classic Detroit sound through his interpretations of classic techno and electro. He has had releases on some of the most respected labels in techno, including Tresor, Deep Transportation, Sushitech, Third Ear, Planet E and Defected. Huckaby is also known for his painstaking remixes of seminal classic tracks, as well as his work as a music technology educator teaching Ableton Live and the Maschine system. He has also founded and run a number of record labels, including SYNTH records, SYSRP and Deep Transportation. Mike Huckaby is an essential artist in the Detroit techno scene and has had an influence on Detroit and global electronic music.
