Mumiy Troll is a rock band from Vladivostok, Russia founded in 1983. The band's music is characterized by its combination of Russian music with western rock influences. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the band had gained international attention with their album The Thousandraiser and are credited for being pioneers of alternative rock music in Russia. The band had a resurgence in popularity in 2003 with their album Adventures of Captain Vrungel. Over the years, Mumiy Troll has proven to be one of the most influential bands in Russian rock music, and continue to be a mainstay in the music world. Since their formation, they have released 10 studio albums and headlined numerous international music festivals. Their latest album, Imago, released in 2017, featured contributions from the likes of Skrillex, T.E.E.D. and Russian singer-songwriter Zemfira.
