About Octave One
Octave One is a Detroit-based techno group comprised of Detroit-born brothers, Lenny and Lawrence Burden. The brothers draw upon their various musical influences from Detroit and beyond, blending elements of Detroit techno, soul, jazz, and funk, into their high energy productions. As DJs, producers, and live performers, their distinct sound has earned them numerous accolades and international recognition.
Octave One released their first album, "The Living Key to Images on Canvas" in 1989. This led to their signing to British dance label, R&S Records, where they produced over a dozen critically acclaimed EPs and albums. They have worked closely with other renowned techno producers such as Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills, and have released several Top 40 singles, such as 'I Believe' and 'Blackwater'.
Over the years, Octave One have continued to innovate their sound, performing at some of the world's most popular music festivals, including Movement and Electric Daisy
