Open Mike Eagle is an American hip hop artist and comedian from Los Angeles, California. He has released seven solo albums, as well as a number of collaborative albums with other artists. His sound draws on elements of jazz, pop, rock, and experimental music, while his thoughtful lyrics delve into personal, political, and divine topics. He has also released several singles over the years, and created the comedic rap group Dark Comedy. Additionally, he has made appearances on shows like Comedy Central's “@Midnight”, Last Call with Carson Daly, and many others. Beyond his musical endeavors, Open Mike Eagle has written for Adult Swim and co-hosts the “Useless Weirdo Show,” a podcast about “weird rap music, pop culture, and disastrous yet hopeful attempts to find self-actualization.” He’s definitely an artist worth checking out.
