Patrick Watson is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for his personal style of melodic indie-folk, jazz, and chamber-pop music. He has released five studio albums since 2002, with most of the music drawing on a blend of classic pop and contemporary indie rock styles. Award-winning films have featured his music, in addition to having received several Juno Award nominations over the years.

He has collaborated with various musicians, both live and on recordings, including The Cinematic Orchestra, Martha Wainwright, and The Barr Brothers. His most successful album to date has been Adventures In Your Own Backyard (2012), which featured the hit singles "Lighthouse" and "Into Giants". He also won Artist of the Year at the 2014 Polaris Music Prize ceremony for the album.
