Paul Russell is an American country singer/songwriter. He began his music career by writing songs for labels like Curb Records, and his songs regularly appeared on the Billboard and Cash Box Country Music charts. He has received six nominations for CMA Song of the Year for the singles "Love Is the Reason" and "Sleepin' On the Feather". Russell released his first studio album entitled "Here I Am" in 2004. His single “What I Cannot Change” peaked at #18 on the Billboard Country chart in 2008. Russell has also had his music featured in a variety of films, including “A Perfect Getaway” and “The Blind Side”. His most recent album "Back to the Real World" is a 16-track tribute to the music and culture of Appalachia, and was released in 2014.
