Ray LaMontagne is an American singer-songwriter from New Hampshire. He began his career in 1999 with the release of the album 'Trouble', which was critically acclaimed and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. He has since released seven more albums, including 'God Willin' & The Creek Don't Rise', 'Ouroboros', and 'Part Of The Light'. He has been honored with additional Grammy Award nominations for albums such as 'Gossip in the Grain' and 'Ouroboros'. LaMontagne's music is known for its folk leaning roots, combined with country, blues, and an unmistakable soulfulness. His live shows are much lauded, with recent tours featuring both solo performances and shows full of accompaniment from a large band.
