Rhiannon Giddens is an American musician, songwriter, and founding member of the Grammy Award-winning folk duo Carolina Chocolate Drops. The Durham, North Carolina-born musician is known for her powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and vast genre-spanning influences. Giddens has released five albums, including her 2013 solo album, 'Tomorrow Is My Turn.' The acclaimed album features folk, blues, jazz, gospel and country cover versions, along with some original songs, including the single 'Angel City.' Earlier in 2021, Giddens released her fifth record, 'They're Calling Me Home', which is largely comprised of traditional songs, in addition to some of her originals. Her career has earned her two Grammy Awards and she continues to tour extensively, performing her unique mix of musical styles.
