Shut Up and Dance are an English dance music group from London, active since the late 1980s and associated with the 1990s dance music movement and rave culture. Comprised of members Russ Smith, Paul Seager, Tee Parmar, and Tony Thorpe, the band achieved mainstream success with their single 'Raving I'm Raving' in 1992, which peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart and became a top ten hit around Europe. They released their debut studio album Not Just Anybody in 1992, followed by a further two albums, All Creation Grooves, and 24/7. Shut Up and Dance have also released a series of successful singles and EPs, including 'Save It Till the Mourning After', and 'The Positive and Negative'. They remain an influential dance music act to this day.
