Simi (called also Simisola Ogunleye) is a Nigerian singer and songwriter from Ojuelegba, Lagos. She began her music career in 2008, and released her debut studio album - Ogaju, in 2006. In 2014, she gained prominence after releasing "Tiff", a song that was nominated for "Best Alternative Song" at The Headies Awards. Her second studio album "Simisola" was released in 2017 and includes her hit singles, "Joromi" and "Love Don't Care". In 2018, she released her third studio album "Omo Charlie Champagne". The album was nominated for Premium Artiste Album Of The Year at the Headies Award 2019. She released her fourth studio album "Restless II" in 2020. Simi is known for her soulful Gospel vibe and her romantic Afro-Pop inspired slow pace.
