About Skunk Anansie
Skunk Anansie is a British alternative rock band whose frontwoman is the powerful and dynamic vocalist Skin. They formed in the mid-90's and released their debut album, Paranoid & Sunburnt, in 1995. The debut peaked at four in the UK Albums Chart and gave them global recognition.
Skunk Anansie is known for combining punk, metal, and acoustic elements in their sound. In 1996, their single "Selling Jesus" reached number four on the UK Singles Charts. After several world tours, the band went on an extended hiatus in 2001.
They reunited in 2009 and have been touring and recording music ever since. In 2011, Skunk Anansie received the “Godlike Genius” award from NME and were also nominated for the Ivor Novello Award. The band has received many other accolades over the years. Most recently, they released their 8th studio album, 25L
