Slash is one of the most iconic rock guitarists of all time. The legendary musician began breaking boundaries as lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses in the mid-1980s. His iconic guitar style combined blues-rock with hard rock and was revolutionary at the time, allowing him to stand out amongst the 80s hard rock crowd. He stayed with the band until 1996, performing on all of their studio albums including the best-selling Appetite for Destruction. After leaving the band, Slash formed the chart-topping supergroup Velvet Revolver and released their debut album Contraband in 2004. Slash has toured and recorded as a solo artist since the early 2000s, with several critically acclaimed albums, and recently joined the reunited Guns N' Roses for a massive world tour 2015-2017. He has received countless accolades for his innovative guitar work and continues to be a major musical force today.
