Space of Variations tickets

Space of Variations is a dynamic and versatile group composed of two interweaving elements: a jazz quartet with singer and a ten person percussion ensemble. The band’s music combines African drumming with traditional jazz and modern electronic structures to create music far greater than the sum of its parts. In 2005, the quartet released ‘Singing in the Barn’, their first studio recording. It won several awards, and further releases have been critically acclaimed. The band has toured extensively, performing at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival and the Glasgow Jazz Festival among others. They have also been featured in BBC radio sessions. Space of Variations continues to explore new creative possibilities, their music from the past decade always exciting and vibrant.
