About The Cavemen
The Cavemen are an Auckland, New Zealand based garage rock band, formed in 2012. The band is composed of brothers Russell and Ryan Purcell on guitar/vocals and drums, respectively and Dave Miller on bass. The Cavemen have performed both locally and in other parts of the country, while also releasing multiple singles and two albums in their career.
The Cavemen’s debut album, The Purple Door released in 2013 at the iconic Kings Arms. The album generated mass critical acclaim from music critics and was followed by New Violence, which was released in 2019. The band’s latest release, Fools Again, came out in October 2020 and showcases their signature garage rock sound in all its glory.
The Cavemen have shared stages with many other bands and have also made appearances at various festivals in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Their live performances are electric and filled with heavy riffs, fuzz-filled tones and catchy earworms.
