About The Funky Monks
The Funky Monks are a jazz-funk band from the Netherlands. Founded in Amsterdam in 2010, the Funky Monks have since become one of the premier funk/jazz bands in Europe, sharing the stage with the likes of Maceo Parker, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and James Brown. The Funky Monks have released four studio albums since their formation and have been regularly touring and performing throughout Europe and beyond. The band is known for their highly energetic live shows featuring extended improvisation and on-stage antics, resulting in lengthy, sweaty performances for every sold-out crowd. The Funky Monks are loved by funk fans for their unique sound, blending jazz, funk, and soul with a hint of psychedelia.
